New MIL-STD-202G with Notice 2 released for Electronic and Electrical Component Parts

MIL-STD-202, “Test Method Standard for Electronic and Electrical Component Parts,” has just been revised.  The new MIL-STD-202 Revision G with Notice 2 is now available.  It is an essential Military electronic component test method standard that is widely used throughout the industry.  At Document Center, we’ve sold many, many copies of this document over the years!

As a test method standard, the document is primarily a compilation of tests, divided into classes for easy access.  These classes include:

  • Environmental tests (100 class),
  • Physical characteristics tests (200 class), and
  • Electrical characteristics tests (300 class).

The changes to this 191 page edition include:

  • the removal of the distribution statement from the title page of the standard,
  • updated contact information and ASSIST URL,
  • the incorporation of the changes from Notice 1,
  • Addition “of this standard” to 2.1 for clarification,
  • updated Sections 2.2 and 2.3 per MIL-STD-962,
  • Changes to section 2.4,
  • Updated section 6.5 to reflect the use of vertical lines in the margins to highlight the areas with changes,
  • Corrections to Method 101, Figure 111-1, Figure 203-3, Figure 203-4, Figure 206-1, Figure 207-6, and Figure 211-4,
  • Updated concluding material and the addition of an advisory note at the end, and
  • Deletion of DD Form 1426 from the last page.

This is the first revision of the MIL-STD-202 since 2003.
