ASTM A480/A480M, “Standard Specification for General Requirements for Flat-Rolled Stainless and Heat-Resisting Steel Plate, Sheet, and Strip,” has just been revised. It is one of Document Center’s most widely-used stainless steel standards.
ASTM A480/A480M describes:
- surface finishes for sheet, strip, plate,
- defines edge conditions,
- provides dimensional and flatness tolerances,

- requirements for heat treatment, test specimens, and test methods

Changes to the new edition cover the following three areas:
- A new footnote for Grade UNS S32750,
- New Grades S33550 and N08925 added to Table A1.2, and
- A New Annex A5 (“Requirement for the Introduction of Materials from other A01 or B02.07 Specifications”).
